5.75" x 5.75" linocut print. The print focuses on the relationship between typography, grid structures and positive and negative space. The use of thin lines within the print forces the viewer to look at and think about what they are viewing. It is easier visually to look at the reversed image, the white print on the black paper as it highlights the 'TYPE' letters more yet the traditional print has a striking, bold appeal. Both made from the same linoleum block were apart of an exploration into relief printing.
